From Fabrication to Full Outdoor Builds

Fraser Valley Contracting is owned and operated by Owen, based in Chilliwack. The company launched in 2013 as a fabrication and excavation operation under Shipwreck Industries Ltd. Owen spent the first years doing the structural and underground work most hardscaping companies never touch: concrete forming, site grading, deep excavation, retaining wall foundations. That experience is the foundation the outdoor build business is built on.

The company grew in two clear phases:

• 2013: Founded in fabrication and excavation. Early work focused on concrete forming, framing, and site prep.
• 2018: Expanded into outdoor builds and launched what has become one of the Fraser Valley’s largest industrial snow removal operations.

Most hardscaping companies start at the surface. FVC starts below it. Twelve years of excavation and site prep work means the crew understands what has to happen underground before the first stone or paver goes down. Fraser Valley clay soils and high annual rainfall mean drainage and base preparation are not optional. They are what makes a patio, retaining wall, or driveway last.

The snow removal division grew into a 57-employee operation serving commercial properties, industrial sites, and strata complexes across the Fraser Valley. It runs on the same crew management, scheduling, and accountability standards as the outdoor build projects.

Owen handles estimates personally. Every project starts with a site visit and a written scope. No verbal change orders. One crew handles the full build from site prep to finished surface.
