What we build

An outdoor kitchen is a small building on a patio. It needs the same base, drainage and services thinking as anything else we put in.

Planned together

The kitchen and the ground under it are one job

An outdoor kitchen brings water, power and weight onto a patio. When the patio was built first by somebody else, the services get chased in afterwards and the base was never sized for the load.

We build the base, the patio and the structure as one scope, so the conduit and the drainage are in before any stone goes down.

  • Services roughed in before the surface, so nothing has to be cut into a finished patio later.
  • Base sized for the structure on top, not just for people walking across it.
  • Cover and drainage thought through, because an outdoor room in this climate is only useful if it stays dry.

One crew. One scope. One standard.

We have hired this crew for various projects on our acreage. The latest project was an equestrian riding arena, which turned out excellent. They are always willing to take on tasks and challenges with great outcome. Their operators and labourers are hard-working and willing to put in the time to get a job done.

Common questions

Can an outdoor kitchen be used year round here?

With cover, yes. In this climate the roof is what decides whether an outdoor room gets used in November or just in July, which is why we plan the cover at the same time as the patio.

Do you do the electrical and plumbing?

We rough in the conduit and the runs as part of the build so nothing has to be cut into a finished patio later, and we coordinate the trades that terminate them.

What did the Chilliwack Mountain kitchen cost?

Forty five thousand dollars for the kitchen on its own, as part of a much larger project. Yours will depend on size, cover and what services have to reach it.
